50 Cent und The Game hatten bereits angekündigt, ihren Beef mit einer gemeinsamen Pressekonferenz beenden zu wollen.
Gestern Abend fanden sie sich daher im "Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture" in Harlem ein. Beide überreichten Poster-große Checks an den "Harlem Boys Choir Academy" und das
"Compton Unified School District Music Program".
Fifty überreichte 150,000$ im Namen der G-Unit, The Game spendete 103,500$, gemeinsam gesponsort von Black Wall Street, Aftermath und Interscope.
Der Harlem Boys Choire erteilt unter anderem College-Stipendien an mittellose Studenten.
Game und Fifty hatten unter großem Applaus die Bühne betreten. Selbst NYPD Officer ließen es sich nicht nehmen, Fotos mit ihren Handys zu schießen.
Während Fifty komplett in G-Unit Clothing erschien, sportete Game seine Aftermath Kette.
Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent verlas zu Anfang eine vorbereitete Erklärung:

Mit ihren Spenden wollten die beiden zeigen, dass sie nicht nur um die Zukunft ihrer Kinder, sondern auch die der gesamten schwarzen Community besorgt sind.
Auch Reverend Run (Run DMC) und Russel Simmons (Def Jam, Phat Farm), die gemeinsam unter anderem das Hip Hop Summit organisieren, waren anwesend. Game erzählte von seinen Erinnerungen an einen gemeinsamen Auftritt Russell Simmons mit Minister Farrakhan, der sich damals auch um die Beilegung des East Coast/ West Coast-Konfliktes bemüht hatte.
Anschliessend nutzte er die Gelegenheit zu einer Entschuldigung:

50 Cent und The Game schüttelten sich abschliessend im Blitzlichtgewitter die Hände. Neue Freundschaft vermittelte ihre Körpersprache trotzdem nicht.
